How to add text to photo
Adding text to an image can provide viewers with a little more insight or a sense of direction to understand the context of a particular photograph.I composed images below to show you such example. First image captures a dense forest in a misty early morning. Added text “KEEP CLAM AND LOVE NATURE” conveys people should appreciate and love nature. On the second image, a picture taken during a trip to India kept with footnotes so that he or she can later go through these photos and read footnotes to bring back good old memories.
In this guide I teach you how you can make the latter image with footnotes. Make sure you add your image to the editor by clicking on “Add Image” button from top center menu. If you are ready, let’s do this.
1. Select a style
Our final image should have two containers. One container for your image and the other for text that you want to write. Since we only have one image, best choice is to select a style with two rows. You can find that under Vertical stitch templates[May be add a screenshot]. Now we have a container for the image and the footnotes.
2. Set size settings
First of all you need to figure out your source image’s width and height. On Windows or Linux, simply right click on the image and click on properties item from the context menu. You can see the dimension information on “Details” tab. After that figuring out the dimensions for your final image is pretty simple. Just follow these equations:
Width = Source Image Width + ( Border Width * 2 )
Height = Source Image Height + Height of the Text Area + ( Border Height * 3 )
Width = 640 + 10 * 2 = 660 px
Height = 940 + 85 + (10 * 3) = 1055 px
Now that you have accurate dimension info, plug them in to custom width and height input boxes under “SIZE SETTINGS” and click on apply. Now you are ready to add images and text to the canvas.
3. Add Photos
Drag and drop your image to top container. Then move the bottom border until whole image in view.
4. Add Text
Click on the T icon from the left most column as shown [Need Image here]. This brings up few preset text samples. You can drag and drop a preset or you can apply your own custom format by clicking on “+ Add Text” button. Now that you added a text area to the canvas move it to bottom container of the template and write anything you want inside it.
5. Save and Share
Click on “Save and Share” from the top center menu to save or share your composition.
